Keeping The Boot Camp Experience Alive

I am sure as you may have experienced, the farther away we get from Boot Camp and our intimate time with God, things start to slip away. The past few weeks in my life have been different. I wondered why I was seeing what was an incredible time of Fathering from God fade. You and I simply need to continue to do the same things when we get home. We don’t all live in Colorado, but by taking my devotional time outside, letting God lead me in my studies, and listening to songs that stir my heart; it is wonderful. I also listen to the Ransomed Heart messages that apply at the time. And as he would tell you himself, it is not about John Eldredge, it is the message God is sending through him to us. Just an example:

On the morning of June 5th after having done this style of worship, I woke with the song “Prepare The Way” in my thoughts. So, I get my journal, Bible and ipod and head out to my son’s tree house. I just asked the Lord “what shall I read today?” He said, “Luke 3″. In my Bible the heading of the chapter is, John the Baptist Prepares the Way. Wow, I was amazed. Verse 4, a voice crying in the desert, “Prepare the way of the Lord”
And that is exactly what God is doing in our hearts. Preparing the way to receive Him and then share Him with others. Men, we serve a God that is here for us.

Brothers, we have all the resources available to us every day to fortify our hearts. Do not be passive, charge in and take what is rightfully yours. You, your family and your brothers need to see Christ in you.
